Covid Vaccination Notice
Monday, 15th February, 2021
There are currently plans from the HSE to distribute Covid Vaccination via GP surgeries to patients aged 70 years and over. It is anticipated that this rollout will begin in Mid-February 2021.
This is entirely dependent on the availability of supply from the manufacturers.
Due to this uncertainty it is unlikely that the initial deliveries will be sufficient to cover all over 70s in the first instance.
Therefore a hierarchy has been determined by the HSE. The vaccine will first be offered to patients aged 85 and over, then to those aged 80-84 years and so on as supply becomes available. Age is the only criterion for vaccine distribution in this phase of the rollout as determined by the government.
It is also important to note that there is no ‘list’ for vaccination.
Once the practice receives vaccines we will be in a position to know how many patients we can vaccinate in the first round. We will contact patients in the oldest age group first and then work down by age as further vaccines become available.
We will contact all patients on our list in the above order so there is no need for you to contact us to book a vaccine.
If requested to by our surgery please fill out the following COVID VACCINE CONSENT FORM

WE DO SUGGEST THAT ALL OUR PATIENTS AGED 70 AND OVER WHO HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO SHOULD APPLY FOR A GP VISIT CARD, SINCE ALL OVER 70s HAVE ENTITLEMENT TO AT LEAST A GP VISIT CARD
